We're not in Kansas anymore.

I'm actually in Kansas City, Missouri. I'm staying at Dan & Elissa Jacobson's until the internship starts on the 8th. The Onething Conference was great, although I'm sick of crowds and loudness. Through some of the breakout sessions I saw more and more how important it is for me to be here -- and how great God's decision to send me here was. I am both excited and scared to start my classes, excited because I know there is much to learn, but a little scared also. I feel like a little kid realizing how difficult and dangerous it is to be a astronaut or firefighter, yet still wanting it more than anything.

I'm a little tired still from two weeks of holiday celebrating, eating, and traveling. I drove over 2000 miles in the past week and a half. Also the Onething Conference was 13 hours per day for 4 days. That can really take it out of you. But I've spent most of today resting and taking it easy, so I'm feeling much better.

It was a bit sad seeing everyone going back home to minnesota, and I'm staying here, but I didn't cry. I do miss everyone, but I think it hasn't set in yet how far away I am and how long it will be until I get back.

I hope to put up some more pictures soon, so stay tuned. Oh, and I'm considering switching to use David as my name, but I'm not sure how easy that will be. What do you think?
